AUTUMN INTERIOR STYLING CHALLENGE
We set ourselves a little Interior Styling challenge by picking just a few of our new interior accessories to see how creative we could be!
Autumn brings with it a burst of gorgeous colours, rust reds, burnt oranges, rich golds and coppers. This got us thinking of the interior décor settings we can create that embody the warmth and radiance of this wonderful season.
Our challenge was to ‘Welcome family and friends with a relaxed and cozy table setting peppered with seasonal tones and textures.’
Inspired by a Martha Stewart 'fruitful idea' we created a plush pomegranate from some of our fabric remnants in a rich red jewel coloured velvet. Also from our (extensive!) range of remnants we pulled a piece as a table covering and grey linen perfect for our napkins.
Our end result was three original styled place settings surrounded by a mix of shimmering metallics in our celestial vase, warm reds in our glass candle holders and antique gold in our champagne serving tray.
Table Place Setting
These were really fun to come up with and were super simple!
Our plush pomegranate was created from a simple ‘how to guide’ and a small piece of lush velvet fabric remnant.
Our Ferrero Napkin was born out of some clever folding and rolling then adding a sweet treat for our guests.
We took to nature in creating our final place setting, our Autumn Leaf name plate, which was by far the easiest and least time consuming - especially if you are expecting the whole family to dine!
Table Décor
Our table décor came together beautifully with our remaining red velvet sitting vibrantly upon a striped linen backdrop. Adding rose red glass candle holders for a cosy, warm ambience, popping seasonal foliage in our Celestial vase with matching tea light holder and dried leaves strewn about lend to an inviting table setting. For special occasions we couldn’t resist our antique gold champagne serving tray to serve our bubbles in style!
One thing we did forget though was to cook - guess that means we get to enjoy a Mimosa instead!!
